Better version
Saturday, February 12, 2000: Inside the very large Church of the Holy Sepulchre
is a smaller building housing what it claimed to be Christ's tomb. At one end
there was a long line-up, which our guide said was for Roman Catholics. Further
research leads me to believe it was the Greek Orthodox line. We were directed
to the shorter line at the other end (allegedly where Christ's feet had been)
manned by a couple of Ethiopian Orthodox (?) priests who used a white cane to
show you what to touch as you reached through a small hole. For a small donation
we each received a crucifix.
